How to vote?​

Sunday 9 June 2024

In Hungary, you are eligible to vote if you are:

  • at least 18 years old on election day or get married before the age of 18
  • a Hungarian or an EU citizen with a legal residence in Hungary, or a Hungarian citizen living abroad.

If you are an expat living in Hungary you need to register at the National Election Office before Friday 24 May.

If you are a Hungarian citizen living abroad you need to register at the National Election Office before Wednesday 15 May.

If you are a Hungarian citizen living in Hungary, you are automatically registered.

You must vote at your designated polling station. Take your ID and your residence card with you.
